The George Lyons room can be found in the older part of the building & is named after a former trustee of the hall. The room measures, 8.87mx5.06m. It has recently been re-floored with light oak strip flooring & has had a false ceiling put in, making it a warm, modern room but keeping its character. It is a very popular room with hirers & is used a lot in conjunction with the main hall for a reception room to meet guests at wedding receptions & parties, as well as being used for wedding and naming ceremonies.
The room is also used regularly by the bridge club & art groups as it has its own kitchenette with tea & coffee making facilities. The lighting is fluorescent strip lights fitted into the ceiling, along with the addition of some independent wall light fittings. The furniture is the same as the main hall, with the addition of some small round tables.
